Terms

The plain-English basis of using Cadence Resolve. There are two arrangements: the Team plan, which you start yourself and pay for by card, and the paid pilot, which we set up with you and invoice. A signed order or a short written agreement takes precedence over anything on this page.

Team plan (self-serve)

The Team plan is the one you start yourself from the sign-up page and pay for by card. If you applied for a pilot instead, the pilot terms below apply to you.

Who it is for

Cadence Resolve is sold to businesses. By signing up you confirm that you are doing so for your business, and that you can agree to these terms on its behalf. It is not offered to consumers.

The trial

You can start a 14 day free trial without talking to us first. No card is needed, and we do not ask for payment details when you sign up. The trial has the same limits as the Team plan: 1 site, up to 10 people. The 10 includes invitations that are still waiting. The AI coach has a daily limit for each workspace, smaller during the trial; when it runs out the coach pauses until midnight UTC.

Price and payment

The Team plan costs £149 per site per month, for 1 site, up to 10 people. It is billed monthly in advance, by card, through Stripe. Card details are entered on a page Stripe hosts and never reach us. If you subscribe during the trial, your first payment is taken straight away and the days left on the trial are not added to the month you pay for. No VAT is added to the price, because Cadence Standard Ltd is not registered for VAT.

Renewal

The subscription renews automatically each month, on the same date, until you cancel. Each renewal is another month paid in advance.

Changing the price

We may change the price of the Team plan. We will email the workspace's admins at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you do not want it. The price you pay does not change in the middle of a paid month.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. An admin opens Settings, chooses Manage billing and cancels in Stripe's customer portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for. You keep full access until then, and you are not charged again. We do not refund the rest of a month you have paid for, because you keep the access that payment covers. If we have charged you by mistake, tell us and we will put it right.

If a payment fails

If a payment does not go through, Stripe tries the card again. While it does, the workspace stays fully usable and Settings asks an admin to update the card under Manage billing. If every retry fails, the subscription ends and the workspace becomes read-only, as described next.

When a trial or subscription ends

If a trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription ends (because you cancelled, or because payments failed), the workspace becomes read-only. Everyone in it can still sign in, read every case, action and change plan, and print A3s and fishbones. An admin can still download everything the workspace holds as one file, remove people and cancel invitations. Nobody can create or change cases, actions or change plans. An admin can subscribe again from Settings at any time, and the workspace is then fully usable again with nothing lost.

What we do not provide

  • No service level agreement, no uptime commitment and no support hours.
  • No warranty that the software is fit for a particular purpose. It is provided as it is.
  • No professional advice. Cadence Resolve helps your team run an investigation. The conclusions, the corrective actions and any regulatory duty remain yours.

What to keep out of it

Describe what happened, not who it happened to. Use roles ("the night-shift picker") instead of names, and leave out health details, home addresses, phone numbers and similar information about individuals unless it is genuinely needed to fix the problem.

Your data

What your team enters stays yours. We use it to run the service and for nothing else. An admin can download everything the workspace holds, as one file, whenever they like, including after a trial or subscription has ended. To have the workspace deleted, ask through the contact page at cadencestandard.com/contact. We delete it from our live database within seven days, and the encrypted backup copies roll off within 30 days. See the privacy notice and the security note.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the Team plan is limited to the fees you paid for it in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Law

Cadence Standard Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17246762. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Assisted pilot (paid by invoice)

What the pilot is

A 30 day paid pilot on one site, for a fee of £1,500 to £3,000 agreed in writing before it starts, invoiced once. It covers up to five investigators and is intended for three real investigations. If you continue afterwards, the ongoing price is £500 to £1,000 per site per month, again agreed in writing. A pilot is paid by invoice.

What we provide

  • Access to Cadence Resolve for your site, for the length of the pilot.
  • A working session to set it up, and coaching by email while your team uses it.
  • The A3, fishbone and change-plan prints your investigations produce.

Your data

What your team enters stays yours. We use it to run the service and for nothing else. At the end of the pilot, or whenever you ask, we export your tenant and delete it. See the privacy notice and the security note.

Ending it

Either side can end the pilot at any time by saying so in writing. The pilot does not renew automatically and becomes nothing unless you decide to continue. If you end it early, the fee for the agreed pilot period remains payable, because the work of setting it up has already happened.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the pilot is limited to the fee you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
